I bought this shirt in a L. I’m 5’6" 160#, & it fits great. The striped top is a basic in a capsule wardrobe piece as it pairs well with a variety of looks, with jeans, pants, skirts, shorts, & with a jacket.

Loving this mariner cloth tshirt. The size is loose but not oversized.

I have had many renditions of the J.Crew classic boat neck, striped shirt over the years. The mariner stule was popularized in the 1920s by Picasso in southern France. The J Crew shirts have all been slightly different. I like the thickness of the cotton on this one and while the fit is large out of the box (I bought an X small ) after it is washed, it is perfect. This style is never meant to be form fitting. I like it very much
