Overview

The Broken-in Straight chino is a fresh take on our ’90s catalog classic, built in midweight 8.5-ounce 100 percent cotton twill that has a soft, lived-in feel right from the first wear, thanks to a special wash process. They’re a little lighter than our Classic chino but a bit heavier than our stretch chinos. The fit lands in the sweet spot between 770 Straight and the roomier Classic, with a longer rise and a 16″ leg opening. A mainstay in any rotation, they’re made to look as good years from now as they do today.

I purchased the Broken in Straight chino pant in Newport Navy. In the past few months, I’ve tried on chinos from lots of different brands and couldn’t find anything I liked. Until now. I love the color, the longer rise and how they fit. They came out great after washing and drying. No need to iron. The weight of the cotton is great too. They feel nice and substantial. I plan to buy more, but I also plan to try a pair of J.Crew’s Classic chinos for the sake of comparison because that style also has a longer rise. As some have said, the pockets aren’t very deep, but they’re serviceable. I can carry keys and my iPhone and haven’t had anything fall out. Very happy with this style and hope you add colors over time.

Finally, they brought these back. I used to buy pants very similar to these from jcrew 20 years ago and have not been able to find them since. Perfect fit, love them. A couple more colors would be nice though. Charcoal grey and a greyish brown/tan color please. I’m 50 years old, 6′-2", 180 lbs. and 34 34 fit perfect. Not too tight, not too loose.
