J Crew dress shirts can be hit or miss, but the Ludlow Premium is worth it. The fabric quality is great and it’s nice to have an all cotton option. The fit is solid and the flexibility of neck and sleeve sizes is much appreciated, though you might need to size up. Seems to hold up well in the wash too. I wish they had more options – including some with chest pockets!

I needed a comfortable crisp, white cotton shirt for a wedding and luckily caught this Ludlow one when it was on-sale. It was also an excuse to get another tailor collared shirt to wear under a V-neck sweater or just day-to-day workwear. This shirt is super-soft, fits great, and feels/looks sharp with a suit or sport jacket draped around it.
