Bought this a few weeks ago and so far loving the jacket. I actually tried it on in store and tried on my normal size which is a 42R and found the arms to be too long and the coat to be oversized. If you were layering multiple layers or huge hoodies underneath maybe you could go true to size. I ordered a size down to 40R and it fits perfectly while still allowing me to wear some either a tshirt, or a thick sweater and scarf underneath.
The wool is comfortable, its not the softest but still pleasant to touch. I do find sometimes the collar to be a little itchy in the beginning around the neck but thats no longer the case and not a deal breaker at all. One other thing I wish it was double lined inside the body of the jacket, only the arms are double lined, again not a deal breakerand it was very warm even in some windy cold conditions. I think the jacket is great for the sale price, sub 300 dollars; however, I don’t think it warrants its original nonsale 500+ dollar price point.
