I had purchased the Stowe puffer a few months ago and loved the style, even though I misjudged and it was too big (in my regular size small). It’s really hard to know what people’s baseline is when they say to size down or to get their "normal" size. I hadn’t purchased any coats from JCrew before that. I am 5’4" and approx 135 lbs, 34A. I wear a size 4 in most brands. For this coat I actually sized down to a 2, and it fits perfectly. I still have room to wear a sweater underneath, and that’s saying something because I have broad shoulders. But the overall fit is fairly snug and comfortable. I bought this coat because of the hood, which is hard to find on this style. The hood is sufficiently big, but I do wish it were lined so it wouldn’t mess up my hair as much. The gold buttons on the black look lovely. It is rather heavy but that’s to be expected. It is warm for the colder days in the PNW. Overall I’m very happy with this coat on sale!
